A cool project that encourages kids to read about Black History Month. One book gets you one ticket to Geographic/Tavis Smiley exhibit in Washington DC: America I AM: the African American Imprint.
I have the (New York) Public Library system to thank for learning to read in English – I practically lived there between ages 12-14.
