never fully dressed without a smile

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is having a good Monday so far.

I hope you got wherever you needed to go on time. Had at least one belly laugh at your own expense, breezed through traffic. Ate a little too much at lunch because you’ll have a salad for dinner right?

This picture reminds me of smiling. Naturally. Of teeth, too. Let me explain…

I have Rats to thank for my good teeth.

In the US kids believe in the tooth fairy, in Haiti we believe in the mighty gleaming-toothed Rat.

When you lose your first teeth as a kid you have to throw them on the roof of the house to the rats. And then, a very generous rat will send you a nice tooth in exchange.

Now isn’t that more believable than the tooth fairy who leaves you money?

I think so. I believed and look at my teeth!

About the shoot: My motto is “It’s they who are weird for staring. You’re just expressing yourself!” The posing’s getting easier but I think posing might be the mistake, in fact. I think the idea is just to be. M’work on that!
