I’ve fallen into the habit of buying fresh bread. There are a few people around. Why does this staple food feel like a luxury?  It’s the soft dough that bounces against a firm touch.

Lately I’ve been having more sandwiches because as the winter wears off my body asks me for lighter foods. I love sandwiches because they are the perfect answer to the excuse “I didn’t have time to make a proper lunch.” So easy to make and cheaper than buy out, which for my frugal pocket is pretty important :)

Omelette on ciabatta bread

I love the word ciabatta. I’ve just gotten an Italian dictionary as a gift. I figure it’ll inspire me to find a way to go to Italy. Also there’s the rhapsodizing language. Just hearing Italian spoken is transporting.  But here I give you another transport of joy:
