I like the versatility of tea, that there is a tea for almost every moment, every mood. I usally have stern unsweetened green tea in the morning or if I feel a little low a spicy boost of Twinings of London Chai tea. But, lately I’ve fallen in love with their Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea.
“A bright amber refreshing black tea with a distinctive subtle flavour.”
As the weather got warmer I’ve been making iced tea with it.
Boil Water. Add tea bag when water bubbles
Add as much sugar. I do one table spoon per glass (seen here)
Let it cool in the fridge, especially if you are making a large pitcher. Otherwise the ice will melt right away and you’ll lose most of the taste.
Add the juice from 1/3 of a large lime. This will give the tea a tangy edge
Add large cubes of ice. The larger cubes are better than the rounded ice bits. They melt slower.
Another tea I enjoy is Tazo Vanilla Apricot White. It makes a delicate fresh ice tea. It’s relaxing and it makes me want to take a nap right away. I use the same recipe as above but I add honey instead of sugar because it makes it taste softer. No lime added.
The Tazo Tea Website has a lot of information about their products. I geek out over the awesomeness of their interactive portal as well. It’s a lovely presentation and the product definitely lives up to the promise.
Cheers!

I agree, there is a tea for everything. ( Green in the mornings, black for a pick-me-up, personally)
