Happy Monday Everyone,
Annie from makeupandjeans has sent me her Beautiful Mess to jump start the week. Annie is a busy Mom and a Mary Kay Consultant. See her videos for make-up tips or read her candid posts this one to grab some inspiration for your personal journey, where ever it may take you today!
Picture 1. Messes happen. But when they just happen to look like this, you can’t help but smile. I have a little boy. This beautiful mess is evidence of that.
Picture 2. It may be the messiest closet in my house, but it also is the one with the best memories. The top shelf is full of games, which is full of game night memories. The bottom shelf has my paint and tools. And painting/sanding projects like my dresser are actually one of my favorite pastimes. I also see this as a work in progress. Someday, when this closet is organized completely, then I can look back and think, “Remember when this was a Beautiful Mess?” And I hope to look back seeing the progress I made in achieving my goals, which all started out with accepting that messes happen. - Annie
This post is part of a series to feature Beautiful Messes that encourage everyone to live more and worry less about making messes. Life is about doing, not organizing. You can always organize later when you’re tired. It does not take that much brain power to stack things up. But, it will take your whole brain, your sinew and your heart to make something worthwhile.
If I do anything interesting, creative, out of the box, if I follow my instincts and forge every idea into something concrete, I will always be making a mess.
Worry less, send me your mess. I am starting starting a collection of Beautiful Messes. To participate send me a picture with a line telling us what worthwhile thing you made/did while you were too busy to clean! OR if your mess cannot be photographed send me 100 words about it. We will make a collage of Beautiful Messes. I will feature this series every Monday on the blog and on the Facebook Page so that you can inspire everyone else to get messy for the rest of the week.
Your mess can be a work in progress, something you just started or something you’ve destroyed because…well, you made it and then you knew you could do better so you’re starting over. All good places to start. Come on over! oisercage {@} gmail {.}com. See my my first Mess for details and the inspiration behind this project.

What a fun feature! I never thought about how messes could bring back memories. While I like to keep clean and as organized as possible I’m definitely not perfect and sometimes you’ll find little messes here and there. I also happen to have a junk drawer, but I think everyone does.
Great post!
