Sometimes all you need is a bucket of confidence. A bucket of confidence.
The day I wore this dress I overheard two women in a conversation I can only assume was about clothes. One of them said, “…like, she’s got curves…” I noticed them, they noticed me overhearing them. But I was a mere example in their chatter so they just kept talking and pointing at the magazine page. I was busy and had places to be so I walked on by. But this encounter reminded me of the fuss that wafted over that Glamour Magazine shot of a plus size model in her bare skin. The talk over at Jezebel over Photoshop. The discussion of the pros and cons of skinny, curvy, fit, bone-cracking thin, and oh my, fat.
Say it with me: “I am not a label.” Whatever people may have called you -”fat,” “skinny” or “curvy” changes nothing about your actual body. Your body type and weight are your business and yours alone. And, that business is called Your Health. I always try to be kind to my derrière because it holds me up when I stand up and backs me up when I sit down.
And, it made this Modcoth dress look pretty good. Otherwise it would just be oddly cut patches of cloth sewn together.
Camper yellow platforms to trot and Zara hemp bag to tote. This dress hides nothing. It honors every bit of the body. An immediate confidence booster.
Good morning Everybody!

“I always try to be kind to my derrière because it holds me up when I stand up and backs me up when I sit down”.This is the funniest and the most amazing line I read today.
